The Palajunoj Valley is home to around 18,000 people throughout 10 communities where 92.7% of the population is rural, and 95% is Indigenous Quiche Maya. Despite its proximity to the closest city, Quetzaltenango, many lack access to basic services such as running water and healthcare. Check out this interactive map of the Palajunoj Valley.
